Upper Hutt Stake Conference with President Pearson and Elder Johansson

We had visitors at the mission home this weekend! Out area President stayed at the Mission Home and taught and inspired us!
The missionaries serving in the Upper Hutt Stake were fortunate enough to attend Stake Conference and hear Elder Johansson, an area Seventy, and President Pearson, our Area President .We received great counsel from the brethren! Some of the missionaries sang in the choir and their music was beautiful! It was uplifting to visit with our missionaries! Upper Hutt Stake was reorganized  this weekend.

Beautiful scenes from the Shoreline Near Wellington

We were mesmerized by the beauty on the ocean, the waves crashing against the rocks, the Southern Alps' snow capped mountains in the distance and the colony of Fur Seals we saw on our extremely long walk!

We invite you to learn more about our Mormon Temples.

Some more photos from  a District meeting.

We continue to meet with the Districts of the mission. It's wonderful to meet in smaller groups, getting to teach and learn from the missionaries, and sometimes going with them to teach people who are interested in learning more about our Church.

Welcome to 11 new missionaries who arrived this week. We enjoyed getting to know you and hearing your testimonies. We know you will love the Wellington Mission!

Here are the first two missionaries who arrived just a few days after we arrived in Wellington.  They are both happy and doing well.

Our first out take was bittersweet. Hard to say goodbye to them even we have known them for only a short time. And sweet to feel their strong spirits and to hear their testimonies and their commitment to serve the Lord till the end. Thank you, Sisters and Elders, for your consecrated service. We love you and we'll remember you forever!

We DO get snow in New Zealand sometimes! Here is a snowman that the Elders in Gore created on their preparation day. Glad to see he has missionary zeal!
